Delivery! Serving up impactful bilingual production for Ring Doorbells

The Thinking

Famous for its interactive doorbells, Ring wanted to showcase its Intercom product with videos specifically made for their biggest markets, UK and Germany.

Focusing on that ‘missed doorbell moment’, we set about delivering a film that would appeal to both markets.

The Making

We needed our film to cut through in both Bradford and Berlin, so set out to create the same film in two different languages at the same time. 

Getting the right talent on board was key, and we were privileged to work with German- and English-speaking Oscar winner JJ Keith, who directed our bilingual cast. Centring production in Tallinn, Estonia, we were able to use locations relatable to both audiences while keeping production costs down for ambitious scenes with lots of actors, extras and even a dog.

The Blowing Up

In today’s media landscape, your film has got to work harder than ever before.  Harnessing an agile approach to production, we were able to deliver a core asset for two separate markets on budget and on time, adding scope for a number of cutdowns featuring different scenarios based on the client’s media targeting.
